If you don’t like heights, going up to the top of Tokyo Skytree may not be a lot of fun for you. However, even if you can make it to the top and towards the exit, you will still face a scary site, a glass floor looking all the way down.
That’s right, there is a glass floor at the top of Tokyo Skytree, hundreds of meters up, looking straight down to the ground below. It is scary, flat out scary and I refused to walk across it in 2019.
In fact, when I was making my way to the exit in Skytree, there was a group of students that decided to walk across and start to jump up and down on it with their guides just laughed about it. The floor is more than strong enough, but I have seen enough horror films and could only think about that when they were jumping around.
My buddies had a good laugh as I waited to the side as they walked across with no fears and took pictures and video. I decided, even though I was up high in the air just like everyone else, that the glass floor was a step too far for me. I don’t know about you, but I just don’t trust a glass floor that high up in the sky.
