Taking a break this week

If you haven’t noticed it, I have felt that I have have kind of mailed it in over the past week or so in terms of blogging and social media posting for the blog. I just haven’t had the energy or the right mind set to blog or promote the new stories appropriately. There are a lot of reasons why this has happened but it is time to take a look at what the reason is and how that can be dealt with.

I feel I should be both honest with the readers of the blog and myself, so here is where I am at. Over the past few weeks readership on the blog has gone down, which has been disappointing to see. On top of that, I have felt detached at times from the blog, simply posting blog posts to the site but not putting my full heart into each one (thus, mailing it in). It is not how I want to write or why I started this blog months ago, so I have been down on myself about that over the past few days. Taking time to re-evaluate everything has not led to an epiphany I have been looking for.

Instead of just sitting around, posting blog posts with little care, instead I am going to take some action to get to an answer and find my energy and passion again.

So this is what I am going to do. I am going to take the week off so no new blog posts will be posted, instead I am going to work on the blog and try to spark my interest again. The site needs work to clean it up and make it more functional. Along side of that I am going to work on creating and writing some new blog material to bounce back and hopefully with a short pause I will be able to get new blog posts up and running. Work has to be done and I have to take command of it because there is no one else that is going to fix it or inspire me except me.
