There is so much to see and do in Tokyo, making it is nearly impossible to do everything on your list. Just walking down the street, you will find something new around every corner. To help you narrow it down, here are five see sites in Tokyo to add to your itinerary. Continue reading “5 must see sites in Tokyo”
In 2019, I stayed at multiple hotels on my trip to Japan with my friends. This is a quick review of the first hotel we stayed in when we first arrived in Roppongi, the B Roppongi.
Note: Per their website, the B Roppongi is no longer a hotel in Roppongi. Instead, it is now named Comfort Inn. It has a new name but is still the same hotel (same location, etc.) so the review should be able to give you some kind of insight about this hotel. Continue reading “Hotel review: The B Roppongi”
If you are ever in Japan and Tokyo, make sure to head to Meiji Shrine. There is nothing else like it in the world. It is a green oasis in the middle of the insanity that is Tokyo (especially during these strange times when you need the space to spread out). Continue reading “Exploring Meiji Shrine”
There are not a lot of restaurants I remember by name throughout Japan, but this one I do: Kushimura. Located off of Roppongi-dori, near the Roppongi crossing area of Tokyo, it is a small yakitori restaurant that is known by both locals and travelers alike. Continue reading “A favorite Tokyo spot: Kushimura”
Kyoto is unlike any other city I have visited while exploring Japan with both with some good and some bad. Here are my thoughts on Kyoto and how it differs from Tokyo. Continue reading “Vibes of Kyoto”
I wish I knew what this building was. My friend took this picture while we walked along Roppongi-Dori on our way to Shibuya back in 2019 while making our way to Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan. Continue reading “Found on a stroll down Roppongi-Dori”
I’m going to write a three part series, starting with this one, on the vibe I felt in the three cities we visited while in Japan in 2019: Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. While I didn’t have the luxury of spending a lot of time in each city, I was able to pick up on the vibes of each city along the way and wanted to record my thoughts on each because each one was unique and could be a deciding factor about which one you may want to visit when you head to Japan. Continue reading “Vibes of Tokyo”
Mori Tower is an incredible place to view all of Tokyo without breaking the bank. It is the biggest tower in the Roppongi area and provides a better view than Tokyo Tower (with more space to explore). Continue reading “Views from atop Mori Tower”
When I first visited Japan in 2017, I stayed at the Sotetsu Fresa Inn, a new, 3-star hotel in the heart of Roppongi. I never really wrote down my experience so I thought it would be kind of fun to remember this hotel and maybe provide a future tourist with some information before picking a hotel to stay at in Roppongi.
